Why did the authors of the Articles of Confederation create a weak central

government?

they feared the bristish tyranny.

after the revolution they were so scared to recreate the country they tried so hard to separate from and wound up not giving enough power to the federal government. they wanted there to almost be no central gov. cause they wanted the states to hold all the power and give the power to the man not the gov.
