Answer: Slave labor in the Americas were often made up of Africans or native people enslaved by the Europeans. They worked under brutal masters and performed very difficult jobs such as extracting sugar from the sugar canes, working the fields, and so on. This was done in order to meet the demands back in Europe so that the colonists could export their raw goods for luxuries, goods, etc. Slave labor in Africa was not so different as the European colonizers enslaved much of the people they captured as they worked to meet the debts of their masters, cultivated crops, etc.
