The Treaty of Versailles was humiliating for Germany.

    Explanation:

The Germans had been on their way to becoming one of the most prosperous nations of the world before the world war started. The war proved disastrous for them and the winners of the war proved to leave no stone upturned to take the losers to the cleaners.

Germany had to concede territorial gains along with a hefty reparation prize, along with the responsibility for causing the havoc in the World war, which gave the Allies a moral high ground.

This humiliated Germany at the world stage and led to unrest in the populations.
