    Because of this, they made many several colonies along the Mediterranean. Most of them were on the dominant land while others were an island. Through this, the Phoenicians formed safe territories, protecting them from danger, in case it happens to happen in their homes. This protected them and enabled them to continue with their ways of living freely.
