    In these he believed that the deterrence nature of the missiles had friendly aims in Cuba and the Soviet Union. Kennedy replied by agreeing publicly to the first Soviet agreement and sending his brother, Robert F Kennedy, to the Soviet embassy to decide secretly to destroy the missiles in Turkey.
