    Explanation:

The main difference was the focus of the millitary strategy used by each faction. The American and South Vietnamese Forces were focused on the use of regular armies to anhilate other regular armies. Whereas the North Vietnamese force and the Vietcong used guerrilla warfare to harass, wearing out and demoralize regular armies. Besides, they used politics and diplomacy to defeat enemies and whose most sound recent precedent was the French-Algerian War.
