    C: A parable

    Explanation:

Often, when Jesus was asked a question, instead of responding, he would ask a question back, or he would use a parable. A parable is like an analogy. The first part of the word, "para" means alike or the same, so he tells a story that has a lesson aligning with whatever is happening in real life. An example would be when Jesus used the parable of two houses. One was built on sand and the other on a solid foundation. When a storm came, the one with a solid foundation held up while the other completley fell apart. This is related to us people building our metaphorical foundations in Jesus so that when the storms of life come, we will make it through.
