Tom Loftin Johnson was the Mayor of Cleveland, Ohio, in the early twentieth century.

His accomplishments as Mayor were considerable. He tried to improve city government and public services. He reduced the fares on street railways and argued that public utilities such as railroads, electric plants and trash removal services should be regulated and taxed by the government. He tried to improve the living and working conditions of working-class residents of Ohio.

Johnson is still considered to be one of the best mayors in the United States.
