    There were many effects of the interchange between European explorers and Native Americans.

    One of the most obvious ones was the exchange of diseases. While European diseases decimated Native populations, some American diseases were also carried to Europe, such as syphilis.

    Also, many food and crops were part of this exchange. Foods such as corn, potatoes, tomatoes and chocolate were carried to Europe. Europeans brought different types of livestock, such as cows and pigs to America.

    Finally, the political environment of both Europe and America was completely transformed as a consequence of this exchange.
