lack of good foods and clothing

    Explanation:

The civil war of 1861 was largely fought by amateur soldiers from the union and confederate, who did not have the right set of equipment they require for the battles. People faced a lot of hardships and as the war persisted, the soldiers suffered greatly and faced a lot of deprivations. They could not get good clothing and their foods then were either barely edible or insufficient rations.
