    Congressional reconstruction plan was made in order to transitioned the south to abide to Union's order after their defeat in the civil war. The plan consist of:

    - Put the southern states into several military districts.

    This being done for easier management. The union intended to put their military personnel in southern territory in order that no-one created new rebellions that reignited the civil war.

    - Ordered New elections / government structure

    They wanted the leaders who were involved in the civil ware to be stripped from the position

    - Rewrite the state constitution and erased the Black code

    At that time, the black code justified discriminatory act toward the ex-slaves

    -Ratify the 14th amendment.

    This amendment gave African American people with legal citizenship.

    - Creating a program to improve the education of the ex-slaves

    one of the most popular programs was initiated by the Freedmen bureau. This organization created training and education for African Americans so they're ready to enter the workforce.
