Why did soldiers join the crusade? Who did the crusaders attack? Was the crusade successful?

    The solders joined the crusades because they were peasants looking for money and fame, or knights doing it for fun. The Christians (crusaders) and Muslims were fighting over the holy land. The crusaders attacked Muslim holy land and there were multiple crusades but the Muslims have always won putting the Christians in defeat.
