In recent years, the Serbs have been forced out of the province of Kosovo.

    Explanation:

After several years of disputes and negotiations, Kosovo declared its independence unilaterally on February 17, 2008, which although it has been accepted by more than 110 countries, including the United States and most of the Member States of the European Union, It has not been recognized by Serbia, its allies and other countries, such as Spain, nor, by the United Nations.

90% of the population of Kosovo belongs to the ethnic Albanians, of Islamic religion and antecedents in the Ottoman invasions to Europe, while the Serbian, Slavic and Christian population makes up the remaining 10%.

This situation has been historically conflictive, and has reached peaks of violence as in the Yugoslav Wars. That is why, since the Kosovars formed their own government in 2008, the Serbian population began to withdraw from the territory.
