    La mayor parte de las monedas acuñadas en el Virreinato de la Nueva España, especialmente durante los reinados borbónicos, eran destinados a la exportación y en menor proporción, al mantenimiento de estructuras militares en todo el territorio virreinal. (A great portion of the minted coins in the Viceroyalship of New Spain, especially during the Bourbon rule, were destined for export and, to a lesser extent, the maintenance of millitary structures throughout territory).
