The foreign influence appears most prominently in England on visual arts like painting and sculpture. We see the kings of England used to recruit foreign artists and thus we see the German, Netherlands and French influence on these arts. The subject matter of painting and sculpture changed from religious to naturalistic and realistic. Portrait and miniature painting was more focused now due to the foreign influence.
