They weren't as complex as the southern indians

    They were still diverse

The nothern part relied on fishing, gathering, and hunting for food.

A portion of them were eskimos who hunted for seals

The southern part relied on farming

irrigation systems, whereas the eastern portion was mainly forests, same ways of getting food as the north but they also farmed.

Native American culture was developing rapidly

they were figuring out new ways to get food

clothing and shelter was being developed

    populations were growing

started to establish unique rituals and customs

role of the man and woman were established within a family.
