    A. Southern Colonies: Slaves were primarily used as labor to work plantations for cash crop production, they were crucial to the southern economy.

    B. The New England Colonies had very little use for slaves, not as much farmland, it wasn't as common for someone to own slaves unless they were quite wealthy.

    C. I don't believe that's even the proper terminology for the midwest of the American colonies so it can't be right.

    D. Again not much use for the slaves with not as much farmland etcetera.
