    human reasoning and rationalisation, Francis Bacon supported the idea that best road to understanding is empiricism which rooted in early medieval nominalism and fomed into empircism during high middle ages and developing of scientific method based on experiment, reasoning and rationlisation before Descartes were most notably proposed by Aristotle and Thomas Aquinas
