    1) The new controller general of finances: After a financial crisis was announced in 1786, solutions and taxes had been tried (and failed). Etienne Charles de Loménie de Brienne replaces Charles Alexandre de Calonne as Controller General of Finances.

    2) France Calls Upon The Estates General: Without a solution for the financial crisis, France is forced to call upon the Estates-General. This is the first they've been assembled since 1614.

    3) Rioting Begins: Two riots towards to entrepreneurs, after a period of poverty takes place.

    4) The Great Fear: The Great Fear, a period of time when peasants feared revenge from the aristocrats, begins. This won't end until August, when the National Assembly demolishes the rancor felt by both sides. 5) Fall of Bastille: After many displays of cruel and unreasonable governing, the people of France begin to fear for their safety. They marched to Bastille, a symbol of cruel and arbitrary rule, and demanded all of their gunpowder. The swiss guards denied them - violently. after two days, Bastille falls.
