In the Madisonian Model for government, James Madison stated his belief that: The Constitution would be harmful to the lower class. The masses should not be trusted to make many of the decisions necessary to govern. The Constitution gives too much power to the central government. The strong central government in the Constitution would be detrimental to individual liberties.
