What are two ways of proposing an amendment to the constitution

The first is "whenever two thirds of both Houses [of Congress] shall deem it necessary [they] shall propose Amendments to this Constitution ... " The second is "on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, [Congress] shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments ..."
