    Nixon believed that his idea would encourage change in terms of racial segregation in the United States. He staged the Montgomery Bus Boycott after Rosa Park refused to give her seat to a white passenger, causing her arrest. Because of this event, the government had stopped the racial segregation in buses in Montgomery
