    Paleolithic Age - Paleolithic people were not only inventive, but capable of abstract thought. Cave paintings provide evidence of the development of complex belief systems in Paleolithic cultures. Paleolithic humans lived a nomadic lifestyle in small groups. They used primitive stone tools and their survival depended heavily on their environment and climate.

    The Neolithic - The development of agriculture served to be a breakthrough for men, as it made life much simpler. More food available meant that more people could be fed, which led to increasing populationsWith more people in the society, there were more people available for more kinds of work and thus resulted in the development of more sophisticated social systems.
