    How did the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire contribute to safer working conditions?

    The Triangle Shirtwaist fire claimed 146 lives, most of them immigrant women. The sheer horror of such a dreadful fire highlighted the unsafe working conditions in factories and sweatshops. It was the beginning of widespread improvements.
