What economic and cultural influences did native Americans and Mexican Americans have on American settlers in Mexican cession

Fight for the land. Native Americas were already being encroached and sacked of their lands at the end of the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). When these territories were acquired from Mexico, also Mexicans became victims of this "ethnic cleansing" movement.

Communities began to celebrate both American and Mexican holidays. Papers and laws began to be printed in both English and Spanish because there were so many Spanish citizens in the territories.
