    Hellenistic. Hellenism was a cultural stream that was introduced by Alexander the Great. Doric (which means Spartan) were very plain columns. Corinthian (Corinth is a city between Greece and Sparta) is very ornamented and Ionian (which is eastern Greece) was rather ornamented as well.
