    Brown vs. Board of education of Topeka was important because it C) stated that schools had to be integrated.

    Prior to this case, it was decided there would be segregated schools where black children would go to, but these schools were to be equal to "all white" schools. However, this still meant segregation and racism, and this case (Brown vs. Board of education of Topeka) fought for integrated schools all over America, and later even towards extinction of all segregation and racism.
