Before the attack on the American naval base at Pearl Harbor what was the American attitude about the war in Europe

    The Americans didn't want to get involved they already were involved in WW1 and seen the true effects of total war they didn't want to get involved if they didn't have to. Pearl harbor made america directly involved because they were directly targeted.
