Is it essential that people remain loyal to their political beliefs during a time of crisis?

It depends on the person and their political, I say that because of there political beliefs, morals, and religion same goes for the people and it also depends what there political does during the crisis. But overall the political does have more power, therefore it being best to listen to them but, you don't have to do what they recommend.
