Tourists covered 255 km for a 4-hour ride by car and a 7-hour ride by train. What is the speed of the train, if it is 5 km/h greater than the speed of the car?

    Let the speed of car be x km/h

    speed of train=x+5 km/h

    distance=speed*time

    thus distance covered by car:

    x*4=4x km

    distance covered by train:

    7 (x+5) km

    total distance:

    4x+7x+35=255

    11x=255-35

    11x=220

    x=20 km/h

    speed of train=20+5=25 km/hr
