A rose garden is formed by joining a rectangle and a semicircle, as shown below. the rectangle is 27ft long and 18ft wide. find the area of the garden. use the value 3.14 for π, and do not round your answer. be sure to include the correct unit in your answer.

    The area of the garden will be given by:

    Area = (area of rectangle) + (area of semi circle)

    area of rectangle will be:

    A=27*18=486 ft²

    Area of the semi circle will be:

    A=1/2πr²

    A=1/2*3.14 * (18/2) ²

    A=127.17 ft²

    Thus the total area will be:

    486+127.17

    =613.17 ft²
