What is the vertex of the function x2 - 14x - 95 = 0?

    To find it:

    x = - b/2a so x = - (-14) / 2*1 = x = 14/2 = 7

    Plug 7 for x and find y

    7^2 - 14 * 7 - 95 = - 144
