You've just been trick-or-treating and snagged a big bar of chocolate! The bar is eight pieces high and nine pieces long. Can you work out how many times you have to break the bar so that it is separated into individual squares?

    This is a tricky question. First you have to break the whole bar horizontally 7 times (because it is 8 pieces high). After that you will have 8 rows of chocolate with 9 pieces each. Then you will have to break each row 8 times. Finally you will have individual squares. So : 7 + 8 * 8 = 7 + 64 = 71 Answer: A) 71.
