Two ants race across a table 61 cm long. one travels at 5.13 cm/s and the other at 3.99999 cm/s. when the first one crosses the finish line, how far behind is the second one? answer in units of cm

    Time = distance / speed

    Ant 1 : travels at 5.13 cm/s for 61 cm

    t = d / s

    t = 61 / 5.13

    t = 11.89 seconds

    Ant 2 : travels at 3.99999 cm/s for 61 cm

    t = 61 / 3.99999

    t = 15.25 seconds

    so Ant B is (15.25 - 11.89) = 3.36 seconds behind Ant A
