Gillian said that the product of a given number and a fraction is always less than the given number. Explain what is wrong with Gillans statement and give an example that does not follow her rule

    The fraction may be greater than 1, or the given number may be negative.

    5 * (3/2) = 7 1/2 > 5

    -5 * (1/2) = - 2 1/2 > - 5
