In a police Chase on the interstate, the suspect's car reached a speed of 88 miles per hour for a total 15 minutes. during that time, how many miles did the Chase last? use the formula distant = rate x time. if the rate is in miles per hour, then the time must be in hours

    Okay this is assuming he kept 88 miles per hour for the entire duration. First we convert 15 minutes to hours. This is 1/4 hours. Then just multiply that by 88. Which gets you 22 miles.
