The hypotenuse of a right triangle measures 58 cm and one of its legs measures 42 cm. What is the length of the missing leg?

    c2 = a2 + b2

    58^2 = 42^2 + b2

    3364 = 1764 + b2

    1600 = b2

    b = 40
