    Firstly, we need to find the number which, when multiplied with 1 1/2, = 12. To do this, we can do 12:1 1/2 = 8.

    Since there is 8 times the amount of flour used, there must be 8 times the amount of eggs used to keep the ingredients in proportion.

    4 x 8 = 32

    32 eggs would be used to make all the bread possible with 12 pounds of flour.

    4 for every 1.5 pounds

    We can set up a proportion to solve for x (our needed eggs)

    4/1.5 = x/12

    Cross multiply

    4*12=1.5x

    48=1.5x

    1.5x/1.5 = 48/1.5

    1.5 and 1.5 cross out and we are left with x on one side of our equation.

    x = 48/1.5

    Now we need to divide to solve for x.

    48/1.5 = 32

    x=32

    Our final answer is that for 12 pounds of flowers, we need 32 eggs.
