    Direct Variation y = kx where k is the constant of variation.

    Step 1: Find k

    Step 2: Use k to find y

    3 = k * 4

    3/4 = k

    Now that we have k, the DV is y = 3/4 * x

    y = 3/4 * 10

    3/4 * 10 = 3/4 * 10/1 = 30/4 = 15/2 or 7.5
