On a Saturday, a library checked out 52 books. If 24 of the books were fiction, what is the ratio if non-fiction books to fiction books checked out

    I would guess 28 to 24

    28:52 or 28 to 52. Subtract the fiction from the nonfiction to get 28, then compare it, the non-fiction first, to the whole number of books.
