    Set the functions equal and solve for x.

    ... f (x) = g (x)

    ... (4/3) x - 4 = (1/6) x + 3

    ... x (4/3 - 1/6) = 7

    ... (7/6) x = 7

    ... x = 6

    The only x-value for which f (x) = g (x) is x=6.

    F (x) = g (x)

    4/3x - 4 = 1/6x + 3

    4/3x - 1/6x = 3 + 4

    8/6x - 1/6x = 7

    7/6 x = 7

    7x = 42

    x = 6
