Jack and Diana were multiplying 12 X 7. Jack said that if he added 7 thirteen times he would get the right answer. Diana said that if she added 13 seven times, she would get the right answer. Explain who will end up with the correct answer and how you know?

    Both of them would get it wrong because multiplying 12*7 is the same as adding 7 twelve times and adding 12 seven times.

    Neither will get the right answer because 13, 7 times or 7, 13 times does not equal 12 x 7 (12 seven times)
