    You can use pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse of the triangle.

    Side1^2 + Side2^2 = Hypotenuse^2

    So 3^2 is 9. 9+9 is 18 and the square root of 18 comes out to about 4.24 which rounds to 4.2. The answer would be B.
