    Violet wave length = 4.0 x 10⁻⁷

    Red wave length = 6.5 x 10⁺⁷

    Red wave length / Violet wave length = (6.5x10⁻⁷) / (4.0x10⁻⁷)

    (6.5x10⁻⁷) / (4.0x10⁻⁷) = 6.5/4 = 13/8 or 1.625

The red wave is 1.625 longer than the violet's
