    We can use the pythagorean theorem.

    Allow x to be the hypotenuse.

    12^2+35^2=x^2

    144+1225=x^2

    1369=x^2

    x=37

    We know that in a right triangle

    c^2=a^2+b^2, where c is the hypotenuse

    c^2=12^2+25^2=144+625=769

    c=sqrt769 = aprox 27.73
