    6 - 4n = 50 ... subtract 6 from both sides

    6 - 6 - 4n = 50 - 6

    -4n = 44 ... divide both sides by - 4

    n = - 44/4

    n = - 11

    when u divide 44/-4 ... ur answer will be negative ... - 11 to be exact
