Two spherical balloons are filled with water. The first balloon has a radius of 3 cm, and the second has a radius of 6 cm. How much more water is in the larger balloon than in the smaller balloon? Use 3.14 to approximate pi. Round to the nearest hundredth if necessary.

    The answer is 791.28 cm³

    To calculate this we need to calculate the volume of each balloon.

    The volume of a sphere with radius r is:

    V = 4/3 π r³

    Balloon 1:

    r1 = 3 cm

    V1 = 4/3 * 3.14 * 3³

    V1 = 113.04 cm³

    Balloon 2:

    r2 = 6 cm

    V2 = 4/3 * 3.14 * 6³

    V2 = 904.32 cm³

    How much more water is in the larger balloon than in the smaller balloon:

    V2 - V1 = 904.32 cm ³ - 113.04 cm³ = 791.28 cm³
