What is the difference between sin and cosine

    The COsine is the COmplementary trigonometric function of the sine. Remember what complementary angles are? They are angles which add up to 90º. So if you take the sine of a certain angle, it is equal to the value of the cosine of that complementary angle. For example, sin (30º) = cos (60º), because 60º is the complementary of 30º.
