How do you do Subtracting fractions with unlike denominators

    You find common denominators and then you subtract them like you usually would.

    First of all to be able to subtract the fractions they must have same denominators.

    1. Look for the LCD (least common denominator)

    2. Re-write each equivalent fraction using the new denominators.

    3. Now you could subtract the numerators and keeping the denominator the same.
