Three girls collected geodes in the desert. Corinne collected 11 1/8 pounds, Ellen collected 4 5/8 pounds, and Leonda collected 3 3/4 pounds. How much more did Corinne collect than the other two girls combined?

    Just add:

    3 3/4+4 5/8=3 6/8+4 5/8 = 8 3/8

    then subtract:

    11 1/8 - 8 3/8 = 2 3/4

    so she had 2 3/4 more that the other two
